Brad Callen's Directory Submission tool is a boon in disguise. Previously, I used to submit to directories manually, by hand, which was so tedious.

First you had to locate a good directory in Google, and then search high and low for the Submit a Site button.

Then you had to cut/copy/paste all the different titles, descriptions and keywords from a text file. I would keep several versions, and cut in a random way so as to get different links.

Gone are those days now... Since I started using Directory Submitter, life has been much easier.

First, I setup a new project, with a project title, and fill in my name and website details. See screenshots below.

Next I will key in the Title, Keywords and Description in this screen below. Note that I can key in several different titles, keywords and description texts. And when the submission happens, Directory Submitter will automatically, select and rotate the different texts in a random manner.

Once this ONE TIME only screens are filled in, the easy part of directory submission starts.

There are over 1600 free directories listed in the software. I sort them by the PR first, so that the highest PR ranked directories are on the top. Then I start selecting each directory in turn, and all the text is automatically filled in for me.

I just select the appropriate category from the directory tree, and hit the submit button, and Voila, I have a permanent, one way link coming to my website from a high ranking and high PR website, completely Free.

The only thing that is annoying is that you have to scroll and find the right category in each directory. But I guess there's no way to automate it, as different directories use different software for their directories, and most of different directory tree structure.

The Gold edition offers over 2200 directories, whereas the Free one only gives around 300 directories.

You can start with the free edition, but most of the directories in the free edition are not of high PR, but it is a great way to sample this great software.

Of course I had upgraded to the Gold edition within 3 days, after having saturated the 300 directories in the free version.
